One of the biggest weapon producers of the world, the Britisch BAE systems, wants to put ‘green’ ammunition on the market. The industry is planning to produce lead-free bullets and rockets without toxine. The dangerous chemicals could “do damage to the environment and mean a certain risk for man”. There have even been experiments with ‘silent’ torpedoes, smoke-free grenades and explosives that can be reduced to manure.
